Gynac wrote HBsAg in my first trimester blood test list and I just nodded but actually had no idea what it is. Now im a bit tense reading the name. Can someone tell me what this test is for?
It's a very standard test, dear, to make sure you don't have Hepatitis B, which protects your sweet baby. After going through IVF, I had so many tests, but this one is done for every single pregnant mother. Wishing you a peaceful pregnancy.
It is just a routine blood test to check for Hepatitis B infection, nothing to worry about. Along with this, they do sugar tests too. I had gestational diabetes, so I had to be very careful with my diet, but this HBsAg test is just a standard one-time check.
Hey! It's just a simple blood test to check for Hepatitis B, so the baby can be protected if needed. Don't worry, it is standard for all pregnant moms! 😊👍
My doctor explained that HBsAg checks for Hepatitis B virus. It's done because if a mother has it, the virus can pass to the baby during delivery, but they can give the baby a vaccine immediately after birth to prevent it. It's a standard screening test.
Just another test to add to the endless list of blood tests, haha! It stands for Hepatitis B screening. They literally test our blood for everything under the sun during pregnancy, so don't sweat it, it's totally normal.
