got my scan report and there is something written HC with a number. didnt understand kya hai ye. forgot to ask the doc in hurry. can someone tell me what HC means in these reports?
I totally understand how scary it is to see these random letters on reports, I used to overthink everything. HC is simply Head Circumference, measuring the baby's head to see if growth is on track. Try not to Google too much, it just causes extra tension.
I am still trying to conceive, but I think HC stands for Head Circumference of the baby on the scan report. It just measures the head size to check proper growth. Sending you lots of good wishes for your scans!
Don't worry, it's just Head Circumference. When I saw all these short forms during my scans while throwing up half the day, I got so confused! It is basically the measurement around the baby's skull.
Haha, with my twins I had two sets of HC measurements to track! It stands for Head Circumference. It's just a normal way for the radiologist to check that the head is growing perfectly along with the body.
In ultrasound reports, HC means Head Circumference, which is the measurement of baby's head. It shows how the brain is growing. Just keep eating healthy and don't stress about these codes, the doctor will check if everything matches.
