My home test was positive and doctor asked for beta hcg blood test. Report has numbers but I dont understand what level means good. How did you read your first hcg report?
My doctor explained that hcg above 25 generally means pregnant, below 5 means not, and in between you retest. The exact number matters less than whether it's rising, so they often do two blood tests a couple days apart. She told me not to obsess over a single value.
Going through ivf I became way too familiar with beta hcg numbers, haha. What my doctor stressed was that the level doubling over 48 hrs matters more than one reading. Try not to compare your number to others, every pregnancy starts different. Sending you good vibes.
Omg I drove myself crazy comparing my hcg to forum numbers, dont do that to yourself. The range is wide and what matters is it's rising. My doc told me to stop checking online. Just trust your gynac's reading.
A blood beta hcg over 25 usually confirms it, but the lab and your doctor will interpret it properly. Don't go googling each number and panicking. If they want to be sure they'll repeat it after 2 days.
