People keep telling me ill get heartburn later in pregnancy but honestly i dont even know what it actually feels like. Im in my first tri so not there yet. Can someone explain what it is and when it usually starts?
Heartburn is basically your dinner trying to make a comeback up your throat, super annoying. They say the baby with more hair gives more heartburn, no idea if true but mine had loads of hair, haha. Keep meals small and stay upright after eating.
It is that sour burning in the chest after meals, very common. My amma told me to avoid too spicy and oily food and sleep slightly propped up, which worked. If it gets very bad, ask your doctor for a safe remedy, dont just take any antacid.
Oh heartburn is that burning feeling rising up from your stomach to your throat, I had it badly especially in the later months. It happens because hormones relax things and the baby pushes up on the stomach. Small frequent meals and not lying down right after eating helped me a lot.
