Saw hg mentioned in my blood report and i have no idea what it stands for. My gynac just glanced and moved on so i didnt get to ask properly. Can someone explain what it means?
If you mean Hb, thats your haemoglobin, which they check for anaemia in pregnancy. My doctor watched mine closely and gave iron when it dropped. Good levels matter for you and the baby.
If you mean HG as in hyperemesis, thats severe vomiting some women get, much worse than normal morning sickness. A friend was hospitalised for it. If you cant keep anything down, please see your gynac quickly.
The term could mean a couple of things depending on your report, like haemoglobin. Best to ask your doctor exactly what HG refers to in your case. They will explain your numbers properly.
