At my last checkup the nurse said my bp was on the higher side and asked me to monitor. Im a bit worried now and dont fully understand what counts as high in pregnancy. Can someone explain what reading is considered high?
My gynac explained that high BP in pregnancy is when your readings stay above the normal range, and it needs monitoring because it can affect you and baby. She checked mine at every visit. If yours runs high, they watch for things like swelling and protein in urine, so regular checks are key.
Anything BP related needs steady follow up, just like my thyroid did. Regular monitoring catches issues early. Don't skip your checkups and keep a home record if your doctor asks you to.
I dealt with raised BP and it's not something to manage by yourself. Watch for severe headaches, swelling, vision changes or upper tummy pain and report those at once. Please keep every appointment and let your gynac guide the treatment closely.
