My gynac mentioned this term during my last visit when she was checking my legs and i didnt fully get what she meant. Im 7 months now and my legs do feel heavy sometimes. Can someone explain what this sign actually is?
My doc explained it to me actually, it's a test where they flex your foot up and if you get calf pain it can point towards a clot in the leg. They dont rely only on that anymore but it's one of the checks. If your leg is paining or swollen pls get it seen.
It's basically a sign they look for to check for a blood clot in the leg during pregnancy. I had leg swelling and they checked properly with scan, dont ignore one sided leg pain or swelling, call your gynac.
Simple terms, it's a leg check for clots, foot pulled upward and they see if calf hurts. Honestly newer guidelines dont depend on it much, scans are better. But any leg pain in pregnancy should be told to doc na.
Ohh I read about this too and got a bit scared. From what I understood it's a way to check leg clots. Did anyone here actually have leg pain in pregnancy? mine pains a little at night and now I'm wondering.
