Got my anomaly scan done and the report mentions humerus length with some number. I have no idea what its supposed to mean or why they measure it. Can someone explain in simple words?
It's just the length of baby's upper arm bone measured in the scan. My doctor said it's one of the measurements they use to estimate baby's growth and gestational age. Totally a routine thing, nothing scary.

Humerus length is the arm bone measurement on ultrasound. Along with head and femur etc they use it to check baby is growing on track. They wrote it on my scan report both pregnancies, very normal.
Don't worry beta, it's simply the baby's arm bone length seen in the scan. Doctors use it to make sure growth is fine. If your report number is in normal range, you have nothing to stress about.
