Got my scan report today and it says internal os closed. I dont understand the medical lingo na, will ask gynac next visit but till then im a little tense. Is this a good thing? someone pls explain in simple words.
It basically means your cervix is tightly shut, which is exactly what we want to keep the baby safe inside! Now that you know everything is fine, go treat yourself to some delicious momos or whatever you are craving today.
My grandmother was worried when she saw the scan report, but my doctor calmly explained that a closed internal os is perfectly normal and healthy. It just means the mouth of the uterus is closed, keeping the baby secure. Trust your gynac, they know best.
It means the door to the baby's room is locked from inside, which is the best news ever! No entry for anything, baby is just chilling in there safely. Relax and chill out!
When my report came, my mother-in-law said 'closed means safe' and she was absolutely right. It means the baby is well-protected inside, so you can stop worrying and enjoy your pregnancy journey.
I freaked out when I read 'closed' on my ultrasound report, thinking something was blocked! But my doctor laughed and said it’s actually a very good thing because it means the cervix is closed to keep the baby safe. You can breathe a sigh of relief.
