My scan report mentioned a small intramural fibroid and i got a bit tensed reading it. Doc said its fine but i still dont fully understand what it means during pregnancy. Anyone here had this?
Since I have PCOS, I know how scary these terms sound. An intramural fibroid is inside the uterine wall, and many moms have it without any issues. Keep tracking it but stay cautious and get regular scans to monitor its size.
Please don't search online and panic. Intramural fibroid is very common, but you must check with your gynac for safety because they know your exact case. Let the doctor guide you if it needs any monitoring.
I was told it's just a non-cancerous growth in the uterine wall. I wanted to continue my daily walks and mild prenatal yoga, but I made sure my doctor cleared it first. Definitely check with your instructor and doc before doing any exercises.
Listen to me, don't stress yourself out reading horror stories on Google. It's just a common type of fibroid that sits in the muscle wall of the womb, and most of the time it doesn't cause any trouble. Take deep breaths, you and baby are safe.
It is basically a muscle knot growing inside the uterus wall. I had gestational diabetes and had to be so careful with my diet, but thankfully fibroids usually don't interfere much. Just keep eating healthy and avoid processed sugary foods.
At my hospital, the doctor and senior nurses explained that intramural fibroids are just muscle growths. If you're concerned about pain or growth, ask your doctor or hospital staff clearly in your next appointment so they can show you its position on the scan.
