Noticed a faint line coming up on my belly and a friend called it linea alba. Im in my second trimester and never knew about this before. Just curious what it actually is and if everyone gets it.
The linea alba is the faint line that's always there, in pregnancy it darkens and we call it linea nigra. Totally normal hormonal thing, nothing to worry about. Mine faded within a few months after both babies.
Its just that line on your tummy that becomes darker with pregnancy hormones, beta. Completely harmless and natural. It lightens on its own after delivery, so dont fret about it.
