Saw this term on my scan report and didnt understand what it means. Forgot to ask the doctor in the rush. Can someone explain in simple words what maturity grade is?
It usually means placental grade on ultrasound, grade 0 to 3. My doctor explained it shows how mature the placenta is as pregnancy goes on. Higher grade near the end is normal, dont read scary stuff online.
On my scan reports they wrote placenta grade. Basically the placenta changes as baby grows and they grade it. Your gynac is the right one to explain your report, every report is read with your dates.
Oh I saw grade 1 on my report and got worried too! My doctor said it's normal for my weeks. Best to ask the one who did your scan, they explain it properly.
I think you mean the placental maturity grading in the sonography. It's just a way doctors track placenta. Honestly dont panic over a number, ask your gynac what it means for your specific stage.
