Got my scan report and it has BPD written with a measurement, my gynac just glanced and said its fine. But i didnt ask what it actually means. Can someone explain in simple words?
BPD is biparietal diameter, basically the measurement across the babys head that they take in the ultrasound. My doctor explained it helps estimate the babys age and growth. Its one of several measurements they use, so dont read just one number, the doctor sees the full picture.
