Got my first scan report and it says CRL with some number. My gynac mentioned it quickly but i didnt fully understand what it means. can anyone explain in simple words?
It's the head to rump measurement of the baby they take in early ultrasound. They use it to date your pregnancy accurately. Both my scans had it written, totally standard.
I also googled this when I saw it on my sonography paper. They told me it's how they confirm the due date in first trimester. Did anyone's CRL not match the weeks? Mine was off by 3 days but doc said normal.
CRL means Crown Rump Length, basically the length of the baby from head to bottom measured in the scan. My doctor explained they use it in early scans to confirm how many weeks pregnant you are. It's a normal routine measurement, nothing to worry about.
Oh I saw CRL on my report too and got confused. My gynac said it just tells the baby's size and matches it with weeks. Mine matched perfectly so she was happy.
