Got my scan report and saw HC written with some number, doc didnt explain much in the rush. Now im sitting here googling. Can someone tell me simply what this means?
HC refers to Head Circumference, which helps estimate the baby's gestational age and weight alongside other parameters. However, your doctor is the best person to interpret the overall report, so let them look at the numbers.
HC is Head Circumference, basically measuring how big your baby's head is. Trust me, when you are trying to push that head out later, you'll understand why they measure it so carefully, haha!
It just means the head circumference of your little blessing. Keep your mind peaceful and positive, the doctors are tracking everything beautifully to ensure a safe delivery.
It's Head Circumference! With my twins, I had two different HC measurements to track, which was double the math and double the worry, but both turned out perfectly normal!
HC is Head Circumference, but please don't try to calculate or Google the exact centimeters yourself. Let your gynac review the ultrasound report to ensure the baby's growth is completely on track.

It simply means Head Circumference. It's one of the standard measurements they take during ultrasounds to check the baby's growth progress. Nothing to stress about.
It means Head Circumference, which tracks the baby's brain and skull growth. I know how terrifying it is to read these terms and worry if everything is normal, so please ask your doctor to reassure you.
It stands for Head Circumference. My baby had a slightly larger HC on the scan, which was one of the reasons we gently transitioned to a planned C-section, and the recovery was very smooth.
