Had my anomaly scan today at 20 weeks and the report mentions BPD but i dont really know what number is considered normal for this stage. My gynac appt is next week so till then im a bit anxious. anyone who knows the normal range?
Around 20 weeks bpd is usually somewhere in the 45-48mm range roughly, but it varies baby to baby. Dont compare numbers with others, ur radiologist and gynac read the full scan together, thats what matters.
I used to google every single value on my scan and panic, big mistake. The reports often mention if its normal for the week. If ur doc didnt raise any concern, u r most likely fine yaar.
Beta these measurements are estimates and have a range, not a fixed figure. Carry the report to ur next visit and let the doctor explain. No need to lose sleep over decimals.
These scan numbers always confused me too. Best is to show the report to ur gynac, they look at bpd along with other measurements to see if growth is on track. One number alone doesnt tell much.
