My 35 week scan report has BPD value and I keep staring at it without understanding. Doctor said we will discuss in visit, but that is after weekend. How did you know if BPD was matching the week?
Honestly these numbers freaked me out in my first pregnancy for nothing. BPD just tells head size and it sits in a band at 35 weeks. Take the report to your gynac and ask, dont compare with random charts online.
Dont worry too much about decoding the scan yourself beta. These measurements have a range and your doctor will tell you if anything is off. Most of the time when they dont call you back urgently, it means all good.
I used to track all my scan numbers in an app and the BPD slowly went up each scan. There is a normal range for each week but it differs slightly. Best is to ask your radiologist or gynac if your specific value is on track.
BPD is the head measurement they take in scans. Around 35 weeks it is usually somewhere in the high 80s mm range but it varies baby to baby. My doctor told me not to fixate on one number, she looks at the whole growth pattern together.
