Got my double marker report and my papp-a value is written but i honestly cant tell if its in the normal range or not. Will discuss with my gynac next visit but the wait is making me anxious. What was urs like?
PAPP-A is part of the first trimester double marker screening, my doctor explained the result is read as a MoM value not a single normal number. They look at it together with other markers and your scan. So dont read it alone, let your gynac interpret the full report.
Honestly these screening values are confusing to read on our own and the lab range varies. Mine looked odd to me but my doctor said it was fine in context. Best to go over the full report with your gynac instead of googling numbers.
I drove myself mad googling my marker values and scared myself for no reason. When my doctor explained it all together it was actually okay. Please dont panic over one number, ask your doctor to explain it properly.
