My doc wrote NST in my next visit ke liye and I forgot to ask what exactly it is. Im 34 weeks now. Is it something to worry about or just routine check? Someone pls explain in simple words.
My doctor recommended an NST in week 36. They checked the heart rate response while I was resting, after which my doc said I could continue with my daily mild walking.
Its basically a test where you lie down and listen to baby's heartbeat while clicking a button when they kick. I almost fell asleep during mine because I was so tired haha!
NST is just a simple non-stress test to check baby's heartbeat. I remember being so scared when they strapped the belts on me, but my boy was just sleeping inside! It is very routine, so don't worry.
Actually yaar, it's very chill. They put sensors on your belly and track how the baby's heart rate responds when they move. It takes like 20-30 mins, perfectly safe.
With twins, NST was double the work because they had to track two different heartbeats at the same time! It's just a routine check to see if babies are happy inside, nothing to stress about.
