Im in my 8th month and my gynac wrote NST in my next visit. i nodded but actually had no idea what it is haha. can someone explain what they do in this test?

I had a few NSTs in my last weeks. They just made me lie down, put the monitor, gave a clicker to press when baby moves. Heard the heartbeat the whole time, honestly quite relaxing. Nothing to worry about at all.
