My doctor has written NT scan in my next test list and im 11 weeks now. I have no clue what it actually checks for. Bit nervous, can anyone tell me what to expect in this one?
NT is nuchal translucency, its a scan done around 11 to 13 weeks. My doctor explained it measures the fluid at the back of baby's neck and along with a blood test it screens for chromosomal things like Down syndrome. It's a screening, not a final diagnosis.
Oh I just did mine last month! Was so nervous before it. It's the nuchal translucency scan they do around 12 weeks to check baby's development. Did anyone else also stress before it or just me?
NT scan is the early scan in the 3rd month, around 12 weeks. They check the neck fold of the baby. Its routine, both my pregnancies I had it done. Dont panic about it, its just a normal screening test.
NT means nuchal translucency, an early screening scan in the first trimester. It checks the baby's neck fluid as part of risk assessment. Your doctor will explain your results properly, so dont read too much online before that.
