Gynac wrote NT NB scan on my next appointment slip and I forgot to ask her properly what it is. Im around 12 weeks. Can someone explain in simple words what they check in this, getting a bit nervous about all these tests honestly.
I was nervous about this scan too honestly, the name sounded scary. But its just a normal ultrasound around 12 weeks to screen the baby. Mine was fine. Did anyone else stress before it for no reason like me?
Its a scan done around 11-13 weeks. NT is nuchal translucency, they measure fluid behind the babys neck, and NB is the nasal bone. My doctor said its part of the early screening to check the risk for certain conditions. Totally routine, nothing to fear.
Its a first trimester screening ultrasound, NT and nasal bone, done with a blood test to assess risk. Your gynac will explain what your results mean, dont read too much online before that. Mine walked me through it calmly.
I got this done in first trimester. Its an ultrasound that checks NT and nasal bone, usually combined with a blood test for screening. Quick and painless. My app reminded me to book it in the 11-13 week window.
