My doctor mentioned an NT scan, but I'm not entirely clear on what it is. Can someone explain what an NT scan is during pregnancy, preferably in Tamil?
With my twins, I had to get this done for both! In Tamil Nadu, doctors just call it NT scan or 'Kazhuthu scan' because they check the baby's neck thickness. It's super important, so don't skip it.
For me, this scan was very emotional after my previous loss. They check the fluid behind the baby's neck (Tamil doctor told me it's kazhuthu pinne irukkum neer), please get it done on time.
I just had my NT scan last week! The doctor explained it's to screen for abnormalities. Did your doctor recommend a dual marker blood test along with it too?
It's a simple scan done around 11-13 weeks to check the baby's growth. Pray and go for it, it just ensures the baby is healthy and developing normally.
