Doc told me to do a double marker and i saw PAPP-A written on the test slip. No idea what it actually checks for. Im 12 weeks. Can someone explain in simple words?
Its part of the double marker / first trimester screening, that protein from the placenta. Along with free beta hcg and the NT scan it gives a risk estimate. Dont panic at the word, its just a screening to decide if more tests are needed.
