Saw G2P1 written on my file and the para word kept coming up during my checkup. Felt shy to ask the doctor what it means there itself. Can someone explain in simple terms please?
Para basically means the number of times u have delivered a baby past a certain stage, doctors note it with gravida. So like G2P1 means second pregnancy, one delivery before. Its just their shorthand, nothing to worry about, ask ur doc if u see it on ur file.
I saw G1P0 written on my report and panicked thinking something was wrong, lol. Turned out it just means first pregnancy no delivery yet. Anyone else got scared seeing these codes?
