POD usually means pouch of Douglas, a space behind the uterus they sometimes mention in scan reports. My doctor said a little fluid there can be normal and is not always a worry. She explained my report so I didnt panic over the word.
I saw POD on my report and immediately spiraled thinking something was wrong. Doctor calmly said it was nothing concerning in my case. Please ask before worrying, I learnt that the hard way.
These scan abbreviations confused me too. Honestly the best is to ask the radiologist or your gynac what it means on your specific report, since context matters. Dont read it on google and scare yourself.
