I came across this word pprom in a pregnancy group and got a little scared honestly. Im 5 months along and dont fully understand what it means or what to look out for. Can someone explain in simple words?
PPROM means the membranes (water bag) rupture before 37 weeks. Sounds scary but with quick medical care it can be managed. If u or someone is asking because of leaking fluid, the right step is to call the doctor or go to the hospital without delay.
Its when the water bag breaks too early in pregnancy, before the due time. It can be serious and needs the doctor immediately. If u ever notice watery discharge or leaking, dont wait at home, get checked fast. Please.
