Heard this word from a friend and it really scared me yaar. Is it something to do with the baby or just a normal pregnancy thing? trying to understand before i panic over nothing.
Its basically a benign growth, most often on the gums, triggered by pregnancy hormones. Nothing dangerous in most cases. But if its growing fast or bleeding a lot get it checked by your doctor to be sure.
I had one of these on my gum during pregnancy, looked scary but my doc said its harmless and called it a pregnancy granuloma. It actually shrank on its own after delivery. Just keep your mouth clean and mention it to your dentist.
Dont get scared by the word tumor, my dentist explained it to me. Its a small soft growth on the gums during pregnancy, usually because of hormones, not cancer at all. Mine appeared in 2nd trimester and it bled a little when brushing.
I panicked so much when I read this word, I thought worst things. But it just means a swelling usually on gums due to hormones. Still pls show it to a doctor so they confirm, that put my mind at peace.
