My gynac started me on progesterone after seeing some spotting early on. I take it but dont fully understand why its needed. Can someone explain what it actually does, are many of you on it too?
My gynac explained progesterone helps maintain the uterine lining and supports early pregnancy, often given when there's spotting or after IVF. It comes as tablets, injections or vaginal forms. Dose and duration are strictly doctor decided though.
I was given progesterone in my first trimester for some spotting and it scared me at first. But doc said its supportive, not a bad sign. Did others take it too and have a smooth pregnancy after?
In my IVF journey progesterone support was a big part, it helps support the early pregnancy lining. I took it exactly as my doctor told, never on my own. If u r on it, trust ur doctor's schedule fully, ok.
