My doctor said home kits are most reliable from the day of your missed period onwards, ideally with morning urine since hcg is highest then. If you get a faint or unclear line, repeat after a few days or get a blood test for confirmation.
Try not to test obsessively, I know the urge. Wait till at least the day your period is missed and use the first morning sample. If it's negative but your period still doesn't come, test again in a few days calmly.
