I get a sharp pulling pain on one side when I get up quickly or cough. My friend said it may be round ligament pain, but I don't know what that feels like. How did you identify it?
My gynac explained its the ligaments holding your uterus stretching as the bump grows, so you feel a sharp pull on the sides of your lower belly, mostly when you move suddenly or turn in bed. Totally normal in 2nd trimester she said.
I had this a lot mid pregnancy, felt like a rubber band snapping on the sides. Changing positions slowly and a warm bag helped me. It does settle as your body adjusts.
Oh I get this! That sudden sharp stab on the side when I stand up too fast. Scared me first time. Doc said its round ligament. Anyone else gets it more on one side?
Its a common stretching pain as baby grows, nothing to be scared of. Just dont jump up suddenly, take it slow. If it ever becomes a steady strong pain instead of a quick twinge, get it checked though.
Its that quick pulling pain near your hips and lower belly when you change position. Move slowly, support your bump when you turn, and it eases. But if pain stays constant or comes with bleeding or fever thats different, call your doc.
