I keep hearing the term safe confinement from older ladies in my family and i nod but honestly i dont fully get what it means. Im in my third trimester now so i feel i should understand it properly. Can someone explain?
Confinement is an older term for childbirth and the recovery period afterward. Safe confinement basically means a safe, supervised delivery and good postnatal care. If u heard it from ur doctor, just ask them what exactly they meant for ur case.
Beta confinement is the old name for the resting period after delivery, the jaapa time we call it. Safe confinement means u rest well, eat nourishing food and recover properly. We had our own customs but always do it with the doctors guidance for safety.
