What is safe to take for headaches during pregnancy?
Im 14 weeks and getting these dull headaches almost daily, mostly by evening. I dont want to take anything random without asking, will check with my gynac too. What do u all take that is actually safe? pls share.
Don't take any tablet on your own, please. For most of us doctors only allow one specific safe option and they will tell you the right one. First try rest, water and a little nap, that fixed most of mine.
My gynac said only the medicine she prescribed should be taken, nothing from the medical shop on my own. She also said many headaches are from dehydration or low sugar in pregnancy. So she told me eat on time and drink enough water first.
Please be careful, a bad headache with blurred vision or swelling should be checked by a doctor immediately, it can be a BP issue. For a normal mild headache, rest helps. But never self medicate during pregnancy.
Half my pregnancy headaches were just from skipping meals and screen time at work. I started keeping snacks at my desk and taking short breaks. Try that before reaching for anything, and check with doctor if it continues.
For a small headache I would rest in a dark quiet room and put a cool cloth on my forehead, that helped me. Ginger tea sometimes too. But if it is severe or keeps coming, please see your gynac and don't take any pill blindly.
