My Doppler report has SD ratio written and I forgot to ask during scan. The sonography person said doctor will explain, but appointment is after two days. Anyone knows what your gynac checked from this?
My doctor explained the S/D ratio comes from the doppler scan, it measures blood flow in the umbilical cord artery to the baby. It tells them how well baby is getting blood and oxygen. There's a normal range that changes with how far along you are, so dont compare your number to others, your doctor reads it in context.

I had doppler scans done because of a small issue, and S/D ratio was one of the things they tracked, basically the blood flow through the cord. If its high they monitor more closely. Please dont try to interpret the number yourself, ask your gynac exactly what yours means for your baby.
I saw this on my scan report too and got a little anxious not knowing what it meant. From what my doctor said its about the baby's blood supply through the cord. Did anyone else have it explained? I asked my gynac to walk me through my number and felt better after.
