im quite short, just under 5 feet, and at my checkup doc mentioned something about short stature. didnt fully understand kya matlab tha. does it affect delivery or the baby? bit worried, can someone explain simply?
I totally understand why this might sound scary when you read it online. For me, because I am just 4'10", my doctor used this term. It basically just means our pelvis might be smaller, so they keep a close eye on the baby's size. My baby was born perfectly healthy, so please stay strong.
I got so anxious when my doctor wrote 'short stature' on my file because I am 4'9"! I thought something was wrong with my baby. But my gynac explained it only means they have to monitor the pelvic area and baby's weight closely. It is very common, don't worry!
It basically means being under 5 feet tall! If you are petite, doctors sometimes worry about the baby having less room, especially if it's twins like mine. It often just means they might plan for a C-section if baby's head is bigger, so no big deal!
It refers to expecting mothers who are under 4'11" in height. Along with my thyroid checks, my doctor also tracked this since I am short. Just have regular follow-ups with your doctor to plan your delivery safe and sound.
It just means maternal height is under 4 feet 11 inches. Many doctors flag this because a smaller pelvis can sometimes make vaginal birth slightly tricky, but it's not a rule. I have short height too but managed a completely normal delivery, so keep your hopes high!
Haan, ye bas medical term hai un moms ke liye jiniki height 145-150 cm se kam hoti hai. Gynacs strictly monitor karte hain to see if baby can easily pass through the pelvis. Tension lene ki bilkul zarurat nahi hai, normal delivery bhi ho jati hai.
I totally understand your worry when you see such medical words, dear. Short stature just means your height is on the shorter side, usually below 145 cm. Don't worry, your doctor will guide you perfectly to keep your little angel safe.
