My thyroid report came and doc mentioned this word subclinical hypothyroidism. I didnt fully understand matlab what it means and how serious it is for the baby. Im 10 weeks. Anyone who had this, can u explain?
I had subclinical thyroid issues and later a C-section delivery. It didn't affect my delivery or recovery at all, just take your morning empty-stomach tablet on time.
I panicked so much when my reports showed this! But my gynac explained it's completely normal in pregnancy and easily managed with a daily pill. My baby is perfectly healthy!
Actually, my doctor explained that our body needs more thyroid hormone during pregnancy, so TSH goes up. He said a small dose of thyroxine keeps it in check and protects the baby's brain development.
My toddler is 2 years old now and I had this exact issue during pregnancy. It just means your thyroid is slightly lazy, but a simple small pill every morning keeps everything perfect, so don't worry.
Listen, don't stress too much about this. It's basically a mild thyroid thing that is super common, your doctor will just give you a mild tablet and you'll be absolutely fine.
Please don't take this lightly because thyroid levels are crucial for the baby's growth. Go to a good endocrinologist or your gynac immediately and start the prescribed medicine.
