I always see the test showing two lines but never really understood what its checking for inside. Like what is the thing in our body that it detects? Sorry if this sounds silly haha.
It looks for the pregnancy hormone hCG, simple as that. Home kits give yes or no, the blood test gives a number. For accuracy do it after your missed period.
Both home kits and lab tests check for the hCG hormone, which your body makes after the embryo implants. The urine kit detects it in pee, the blood test measures the exact level. My doctor said morning urine gives the strongest reading at home.
