What is the best lotion for pregnancy stretch marks?
Belly is growing fast now and im starting to see faint lines on the sides. Want to start applying something before it gets worse. What worked for u all? pls suggest something that actually helped.
Uff, all these pregnancy concerns! For stretch marks, I honestly just kept slathering on whatever rich body butter I liked the smell of. While I was busy thinking about my next craving, the cream was just doing its job of keeping my skin moisturized. Didn't totally prevent them, but my skin felt nice!
Look, all these fancy creams claim a lot but a good portion of stretch marks are genetic. The key is consistent hydration, so any rich moisturizer you like will work. Bio-Oil is popular, but even a simple cocoa butter or pure almond oil applied twice daily helps. Don't expect miracles, but it does keep the skin supple and reduces itching. Start early and be consistent.
For me, I just used a good quality almond oil that my mom recommended. I applied it every single day, morning and night, from my second trimester. I think it helped keep my skin soft and reduced the itching, which was a big relief. I can't say it prevented all stretch marks, but it made me feel like I was doing something good for my skin.
Sweetheart, stretch marks are so common during pregnancy, almost every woman gets them. Honestly, a lot of it is genetics and how your skin stretches. While no lotion can magically prevent them completely, keeping your skin super hydrated helps a lot with itching and skin elasticity. Try a good quality cocoa butter or shea butter cream regularly. Don't stress too much over it.
