I'm 26 weeks and honestly cant get comfortable at night anymore. I keep waking up on my back and then panic that its wrong. What position do u all sleep in? thinking of asking my gynac too but wanted to hear real experiences.
Left side is the textbook answer but dont lose sleep stressing about it. Get a long pillow, hug it, and just rest yaar. Your comfort matters more than perfect positioning.
Sleeping on your left side is generally recommended, especially later, as it helps blood flow to the baby. I used a pillow between my knees and it was so comfy. Dont stress if you shift around at night though, your body adjusts.
By third trimester I sleep like a fortress of pillows yaar, one under belly, one between knees, one behind back. Left side is the goal but I wake up in all sorts of angles. A pregnancy pillow honestly saved my nights.
My gynac said left side is best in the later months but early on any comfortable position is fine. She said try not to sleep flat on your back for long stretches later. A wedge pillow under the belly helped me a lot.
