My period is 4 days late and im so tense. Should i just use a home strip or go for blood test directly, which one gives correct result? Thoda guide kar do please.
Home test kits are great, just buy any standard one from the pharmacy. Once it was positive, I visited my gynac who scheduled my first scan. Even though I ended up having a C-section later, that first test day is always so special, so enjoy the feeling!
A home test is okay to start, but please get a beta hCG blood test done at a lab to confirm. I had some early complications and my doctor said blood tests are much more reliable than urine strips. Better to be safe.
Please wait for a week after your missed period to test so you don't get confused by faint lines. After my past experience with pregnancy loss, I became very careful and always advise waiting a bit and then getting a doctor's confirmation blood test directly.
Using a simple home pregnancy kit with your first morning urine is the best and easiest way. It's super accurate if you wait till your period is missed. All the best to you, hope you get good news!
I also tested using a normal strip from the chemist and got a faint line. Did you guys get a dark line straight away or did it take time? I am still 5 months pregnant and sometimes still get nervous.
Oh my god, when I saw those two pink lines, I felt my heart skip a beat and I literally started crying. I used the first morning pee because that's when the hormone levels are highest. It was such a beautiful, surreal moment.
