What is the difference between pregnancy symptoms and period symptoms?
Every month before periods I get sore breasts and mood swings, and now while trying to conceive it is so confusing. This cycle I also feel nausea but maybe because I am thinking too much. How do you tell the difference?
Beta this confusion is so common, dont worry. The truth is u cant always tell from feelings alone. Just keep track of your dates and if period is late by few days take a test in morning. No point spending these days in tension.
Yaar this is the hardest part actually, the wait. For me the difference was the tiredness, in pregnancy I was sleepy by afternoon which never happens in PMS. But everyone is different so dont take my symptoms as rule.
Honestly they feel almost same in start, cramps and sore breasts both happen. For me the give away was the cramps were lighter in pregnancy, more like a pulling. Period pain is sharper na. But best way is just wait for missed period and test, guessing only stresses u out.

My gynac explained it nicely. Both are caused by similar hormones in start so cramps, mood swings, tender breasts overlap. The clearer pregnancy signs are missed period, light spotting at implantation, and nausea that comes a bit later. She said no symptom alone is proof, only test confirms. So dont read too much into it.
Same doubt I had before testing. One thing for me was that weird metallic taste in mouth that I never get during periods. Did anyone else notice taste changes? That was my first hint actually.
