Just found out im pregnant, around 6 weeks, and everyone at home is giving different advice on what to eat. Im a bit lost honestly. Can you all tell what foods you focused on, esp in early months?
I mostly ate simple home food, rice, dals, lots of veggies, curd, fruits and a glass of milk. Amma added nuts and dates for energy. Nothing fancy, but do ask your gynac if you have any specific needs.
Keep it balanced, some protein, fruits, veggies, dairy and whole grains daily, plus your prenatal vitamins. Stay hydrated and eat at regular times. Anything specific, your gynac and a dietician can fine tune it.
You dont need expensive superfoods at all. Dal, eggs, seasonal fruits, green veggies and milk cover most of it cheaply. I planned simple meals and it worked perfectly fine.
Since I had sugar issues, my dietician kept me on balanced meals, more protein and fibre, less refined carbs and sweets. So a general food list helps, but please get it tailored if you have any condition. Portion control matters as much as the food itself.
