What is the meaning of cephalic presentation in pregnancy?
Got my scan report today and it says cephalic presentation. Doc just nodded and moved on, mujhe samajh nahi aaya properly. Is it a good thing or something to worry about? can someone explain in simple words.
Yes, it means head down. Even though my baby was cephalic, I ended up having a C-section due to other reasons, but recovery is smooth if you rest well after birth.
Cephalic presentation simply means the baby is in a head-down position, which is ideal for a normal delivery. Still, discuss your overall scan report with your gynac during your next visit.
It just means head-first position, which is the safest way for the baby to pass through the birth canal. It's the most common and preferred position for delivery.
While head-down is great, many other factors like placenta position and baby weight also matter. Please let your doctor check the full ultrasound report to ensure there are no other issues.
