My doctor gave me a due date in my first scan and im a first timer so i dont fully get it. Does it mean baby will come exactly on that day or its just an estimate? someone pls explain simply.
Honestly think of it as the baby's suggested arrival, not a confirmed booking yaar. Mine totally ignored the due date and came late, full drama queen entry. So keep ur bag ready early.
My doc explained the due date is just an estimate of when baby is likely to arrive, around 40 weeks from ur last period. She said only a small number of babies actually come exactly on that date. The scan helps set it more accurately.
Its an estimated date, not a deadline. Both my kids came before the due date actually. Anywhere from 37 to 42 weeks is considered normal, so dont fix ur mind on that one date.
