Heard someone use this word rapture talking about pregnancy and i didnt understand if its something serious. Now im a little worried. Can anyone tell me what it actually refers to?
Just delivered last month and my water rupture happened at home suddenly, soaked everything. I called the doctor right away and went in. Keep a bag ready near the due date, it can happen anytime honestly.
I think you mean rupture, like water bag rupture which is when the membranes break before or during labour. It is the waters breaking that tells you baby is on the way soon. If your water leaks or gushes, call your gynac or go to hospital, that is important.
Rupture usually refers to the amniotic sac breaking, the famous water breaking. For me it was more a slow trickle than a dramatic gush both times. The moment you suspect it, dont wait, head to the hospital.
