Just found out im pregnant and bohot confused about what all i need to start. People keep saying tablets lo but i dont want to take anything random na. Will ask gynac properly, just curious what others were given.
Please don't take any random medicine during pregnancy, it can be so risky! Usually doctors only give folic acid, iron, and calcium. Please talk to your gynac before eating anything, even for minor issues like headache or cold.
There is no 'medicine for pregnancy' as such, but my doctor prescribed Folic Acid in the first trimester, and later added Iron and Calcium. She told me these are supplements to support the baby's growth and are not actual medicines.
Actually, pregnancy only requires prenatal supplements like folic acid, iron, and calcium. No other medicine should be taken without consulting your gynecologist. Please book an appointment to get your personalized prescription.
I also panicked thinking I had to take lots of medicines! But actually, it's just basic vitamins and minerals to keep you healthy. Your doctor will write the exact ones you need, so don't worry at all.
I'm in my second trimester and my doc only has me on prenatal vitamins. I used to feel so anxious about taking pills, did anyone else also feel scared to take their iron and calcium tablets?
My doctor at Apollo told me to never take any over-the-counter medicine during pregnancy. They gave me a specific list of safe prenatal supplements and a helpline number to call if I feel unwell. Please ask your clinic staff.
