Did my fasting sugar test yesterday and waiting for report. Thoda nervous about gestational diabetes. What number is considered normal range? pls tell.
Ugh, the fasting blood sugar test was my absolute nightmare because I just wanted to eat ladoos all day! Honestly, my doctor told me it should be under 95 mg/dL. If it is slightly high, don't panic, they will just ask you to manage your diet.
I just got my fasting report and it is 96, is that considered gestational diabetes? I am so worried right now. What did your doctors suggest for borderline fasting sugar?
Normal fasting sugar is usually less than 95. Don't try to interpret the lab reports on your own. Take the report to your gynac, they will tell you if you need to cut down on sugar or carbs.
During my pregnancy, my father used to check my fasting sugar every week at home, and it was always around 90. My doctor said anything below 95 is completely normal. My mom made sure I ate healthy home-cooked meals to keep it in control.
Actually yaar, fasting blood sugar during pregnancy should ideally be below 95 mg/dL. Mine was 98 once and my gynac put me on a strict diet plan immediately. Just get it checked properly and show the reports to your doctor.
