What is the normal level of sugar during pregnancy?

Have my sugar test coming up next week and i keep hearing about gestational diabetes. What numbers are considered normal fasting and after food? thoda tension ho raha hai honestly.

Everyone gets that sugar test in second trimester, get it done on time. Numbers vary a bit by lab so don't compare with friends. Just do the test and let your doctor read it.

The GTT test is not very expensive and most packages include it, dont skip it to save money. If sugar is high they catch it early and most of the time it's just managed with food. Worth doing properly.

When I did my GTT around 24 weeks, my doc explained fasting, one hour and two hour readings all have separate cut offs. The lab report itself usually marks the normal range next to your value. Best to go by what your own report and doctor say rather than a general number.

I had GD so I checked sugar daily. My doctor wanted fasting under 95 and after meals lower than around 120 to 140, but pls confirm your own numbers with your gynac because targets differ. Diet and small walks after food helped me keep it in range.
