What is the normal thyroid level during pregnancy?
Got my TSH report today and im not sure how to read it for pregnancy. I know the normal range is different when ur pregnant. Im 9 weeks, can anyone tell me what range is considered ok? planning to show my gynac tomorrow anyway.
My doctor explained the safe TSH range in pregnancy is narrower than usual and changes across trimesters. That is why they test it more often. Best to get your own report read by your gynac rather than compare to a fixed number.
Thyroid in pregnancy needs close monitoring, mine was checked every few weeks. The right level depends on your stage and your reports. Please follow your doctor closely on this, it really matters for the baby.
I had thyroid in pregnancy and the target range is actually a bit tighter than normal, and it differs by trimester. My doctor checked my TSH regularly and adjusted my dose. Please dont go by general numbers, your gynac sets your target.
