What is the reason for itching in stomach during pregnancy?
My pet has been itching like crazy these days, mostly at night. Im in my 6th month and it's getting really irritating. Is it just the skin stretching ya something else?
My doctor told me that stretching skin loses moisture quickly, causing itching. They recommended using a fragrance-free lotion. They also warned that severe, non-stop itching should always be reported to check liver enzymes.
It's mostly because your skin is stretching as the baby grows. I used to apply mild moisturizer right after bath, and it helped so much. Stay positive, it's a beautiful sign of your baby growing!
Generally, stretching skin causes mild itching. But if the itching is severe, especially on your palms and soles, please tell your doctor immediately as it could be related to liver function (cholestasis).
Actually yaar, my stomach used to itch like crazy in the second trimester! I found out that dry skin makes it worse. I just slathered coconut oil day and night, it really helped.
Ghar pe dry skin ke liye simple sarso ka tel ya coconut oil lagao. Scratches mat banana nails se, nahi toh marks reh jayenge. Soft cotton cloth se lightly press kar liya karo jab itching ho.
Oh my god, same here! My belly has started itching so much this week and I keep wanting to scratch it. Does anyone else get it worse during the night? I am trying to use bio-oil now.
